In November 2002, the Prestige oil spill occurred off the coast of Galicia (Spain), where Yolanda del Riego had set up her studio in 1996 (on the island of Arousa). This is one of the many works that were inspired by this tragic environmental disaster.

En noviembre de 2002 se produjo el desastre del Prestige, un derrame de petróleo frente a las costas de Galicia, donde Yolanda del Riego había montado su estudio en 1996 (en la isla de Arousa). Esta es una de las muchas obras que se inspiraron en este trágico desastre medioambiental.
