Yolanda del Riego first began studying painting in the late 1960s with John Manikowski, while living in New England. After moving to Alaska in 1973, she continued her studies with the Russian artist Wassily Sommer.

PAINTING
Yolanda del Riego’s preferred mediums for painting are oil, watercolor and gouache; occassionly she has used acrylic. The supports of her paintings include canvas, paper, wood and glass.
