Origami suite (1984)

This series of four collage/mixed media works were created by Yolanda del Riego in 1984 during a period in which she was without an etching press. (See Biographical Notes — Yolanda del Riego.)

The works were made from torn-up Japanese handmade papers inked with Charbonnel inks using rollers and drawn with colored pencils. Many of the papers have then been folded before being glued to the collage, giving the works a sculpture-like effect.
