Epitaph for a Whale, 1979.

Epitaph for a Whale, 1979.

This etching is one of the few works by Yolanda del Riego that depict an animal subject. She created this work in 1979 for a fundraising auction in support of anti-whaling. The Visual Arts Center of Alaska had made a call to its member artists for donations and Epitaph for a Whale was YR’s response to this call.
