“Wabi-Sabi” Series (2018–2022)

The “Wabi-sabi” series is a collection of artworks in which Yolanda del Riego (YR) has used mixed media to convert old drawings, watercolors, and even digital print proofs, combined with repurposed mats, to create unique compositions. The series is named after the wabi-sabi Japanese art aesthetic, “…which is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete…”(Wikipedia).
